The Caravan du Nord is a project of 89.3 The Current and the MMC, an organization that works to create partnerships between independent musicians, who are not traditionally viewed as members of the fine arts community, and presenters who are eager to connect with new audiences.
“Music needs to be treated as an important and valuable part of the arts,” said Tony Mendoza, MMC board president. “The goal of the MMC is to promote independent musicians throughout the state of Minnesota. We want the public to be excited about it and see the impact it can have when it becomes a significant part of our community.”
